Canaveral National Seashore

I decided to go back another day to try to get some better photos of the beautiful pink birds, Roseate Spoonbills. Well, they did not disappoint! The Roseate Spoonbills get their name because of their hue (rose-colored) and the shape of their beak – it is long and rounded at the end, similar to a soup ladle that helps them scoop up their food. Sometimes the birds are bright pink and others are a lighter shade of pink. They are beautiful!

This brown pelican is checking out the sights below! So beautiful in flight.

The Great Egret is a long legged, S-neck wading bird with a dagger-like beak. Its’ wings have a beautiful scalloped wing span. They are so graceful when flying!

Gosh, I learned so much this weekend in Florida. Between the aircraft at the Air Show and then the birds in flight and around the water, my camera got a lot of good use of taking photos of objects in motion.
